Wardrobe Assistant (London)

This is a starting role for someone who wants to be a Fashion Stylist, the candidate will show a demonstrable interest in fashion and be up to date with the latest trends. The role is based at Spring Studios working on the M&S account 5 days a week. 

Job Responsibilties

 Working with M&S and Spring to ensure the wardrobe held at Spring is maintained on brand and seasonal for all BU shoots .

  • Keeping up to date with styling information from the Lead Stylist and client .

  • Ensure new products to add to wardrobe from shoots are correctly stored and labelled and in keeping with current season direction for M&S.

  • Work closely with Spring styling team and client to ensure we have the right quantities to cover all studios.

  • Support all sets in the morning ensuring the correct styling props are available on the right sets.

  • Ensure all styling props at end of day are either allocated to the right sets for the next day or returned and stored correctly in the styling area.

  • Maintaining the wardrobes presentation e.g. separating shoes by size - picking up clothes that have fallen on the floor, ensuring styling areas are kept neat and tidy.

  • Add styling to wardrobe and use Flo to record samples kept in styling area.

  • Remove out -of-date and out of stock styling which will be flagged by M&S team and record in Flo.

  • Maintain styling kits on each set and flagging to production when new kit needs ordering.

  • Build a good relationship with the in-house and freelance stylists and the creative team.

  • Support the sample co-ordinators with managing styling to and from the styling area and back in to SM when needed.

  • Must be able to flex to assist the lead stylist on set for a full day when needed for special projects.

  • Always working within the parameters of the agreed Spring / M&S Ecommerce workflow and Spring production if any issues.

  • On hand to support freelance stylists on prep days in locating styling pieces

  • Work closely with sample management team to ensure daily processes between SM and styling are upheld. Notifying SM of rails/ crates that can be put away in awaiting return.

  • Management of internal colourway document and comms with styling team and freelancers to ensure this is updated.

  • Check styling that needs to be sent to laundry.

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.

  • Charisma - Great energy on set.

  • Always respond well and positively to feedback from the client.

  • Communication - Demonstrates excellent communication skills at all times at all levels within the Spring team and client team.

  • Proficient in E xcel and Flo.

  • Proactive in working process.
